WHAT COACHES ARE SAYING ABOUT CAMP
Although we are changing venues from one beautiful school to another, the testimonials by the coaches express their feelings about the structure of the camp when coaches and players are able to interact closely throughout the week.
OUR PURPOSE
Our PURPOSE is to provide a space where players grade 9-12 can connect with college coaches from all levels in Canada and the USA. We hope to assist in the promotion of youth players into environments which will challenge them academically and athletically after high school.
WHAT MAKES THESE CAMPS UNIQUE
We were thrilled to return to camps over the past two years, and St. Michaels University School has proved to be an amazing setting.
Training:
- College / University coaches run all training sessions,
- Players train once per day and play in games once per day to ensure that they are showcasing rested and recovered abilities (This camp is about QUALITY versus QUANTITY),
- Coaches continue to coach and observe the players in the afternoon or evening games,
Players Are Able To Vet The Coaches:
- Players get to know the style of the coaches, their philosophy, their personality,
- By the end of their time with a coach, the player will know if they could play under their guidance.
Education:
- Each day players will also receive informational, motivational, and college specific information from the staff and the college / university coaches where collegiate association rules allow,
- Coaches create a panel discussion focused on questions from Campers around topics such as: 1. Registering with the eligibility centre, 2. Academic entrance standards, 3. Recruiting legislation/rules, and 4. Recruiting timeline.
Soccer Express has come on board nation wide this year as a presenting partner of Canada’s College ID Camps. Soccer Express is Canada’s largest soccer store and will help take these unique camps to another level as they extend their quality to camper attire.
